If
there were one band in history
that left a permanent lasting
musical impression on the world,
The Beatles would be that band.
These great men from Liverpool,
England were John Lennon, Paul
McCartney, George Harrison, and
Ringo Starr.
These four men had cheerful spirits,
charismatic charm and crafty wit.
Their overflowing gifts for songwriting,
harmony and instrumental excellence,
their polished suits, cutting
edge haircuts and ready smiles,
made them appear almost otherworldly,
as if they had just came down
from some distant and far happier
planet.
The Beatles forever
changed music as we know it, adding
more depth and emotion than had
ever been seen in the music of
that time. They were musically
respected, critically acclaimed,
world known musicians that left
their mark on the world. The Beatles
defined the voice of the youth
in the 1960s by redefining rock
music and starting what was to
become a revolution.
If you were to ask
someone that lived during the
sixties what their favorite band
was, they would probably tell
you the Beatles. It would be uncommon
to even find someone that has
not heard of The Beatles. Their
influence is part of so many musical
aspects today. To this day The
Beatles still hold the record
on the pop charts with five hits
simultaneously occupying the top
five slots.
The Beatles are arguably
the greatest band ever. They captured
the attention of audiences worldwide
when they first began in the 1960s
and have stayed in the spotlight
ever since. Something about them
created an interest that still
lives on today.
